Grilled Corn on the Cob three different ways. Bust out the grill and make this classic summer side dish for all your backyard barbecues, picnics, and potlucks.

How do you grill corn on the cob without husks?

Corn on the cob can be grilled without the husks in two different ways. First, you can grill the corn directly on the grill grates. This results in a drier corn on the cob with a lot of smoky, grilled flavor. The sugar caramelizes in the corn caramelizes a bit more when grilled directly on grill grate, giving it a unique flavor. Second, you can grill your corn on the cob in foil. This traps steam in and creates a moist corn on the cob experience, but doesn’t get as much of the smoky, grilled flavor.

Can I grill corn in the husk?

Yes! Corn on the cob can be grilled in the husk. An optional step is to peel back the husk and remove the silk strands from the cob, but you can also grill the cobs without removing the silk. To keep the husk from burning or catching fire, it’s a good idea to soak your corn for 15 minutes to 1 hour before grilling.

Do you have to soak corn on the cob before grilling?

No, it does not have to be soaked before grilling. However, if you are grilling your corn in the husk, it’s a good idea to soak your corn so that the husks do not burn or catch fire.

How long do you grill corn on the cob in foil?

Corn on the cob needs to be grilled over high heat for 15 to 20 minutes whether you cook it in foil, in the husk, or out of the husk.
